Head coach Dale Starr and the Western Illinois Volleyball team (4-23, 0-15) are still searching for their first conference win of the season and of Starr’s tenure at WIU. Western is currently in an 18 game rut after dropping their last match to South Dakota State (14-13, 8-7) last Saturday in 3 straight sets, (25-7, 25-12, 26-24). Sophomores Karli Wenzel and Brittany Wulf were the bright spots in the match. Wenzel lead the team with 16 digs, adding 8 assists. Wulf lead the Leathernecks in kills with 13.

WIU hits the road one last time before finishing the year with two games at home. The Leathernecks will travel up to Minneapolis to take on the Tommies of St.Thomas (3-24, 1-14) on Saturday. The Tommies only conference win of the season came against Western earlier this season. The match is scheduled to get underway at 11 a.m.
