clemensThe Western Illinois women’s basketball is off to its best start in over 10 years and junior point guard Emily Clemens is an important reason why.

Clemens was named as Summit League co-player of the week as announced by the Summit League on Monday morning.

In a stretch of three home wins, Clemens averaged 22 points, 9.1 assists and 3.7 steals. This is already the third time she has received the award, more than any Leatherneck basketball player last season.

Western is back in action on Saturday at 2 p.m. on the road against Chicago State.
