On Tuesday Student Government Association President Dovile Svirupskaite announced that the gold bus stop across from Lincoln Washington and Grote Residence Halls will be changing location starting January 1.
She says this was a campaign promise to the inter-hall council and the residences of the halls .
The current stop has been a safety issue for students living in the residence halls due to low visibility when crossing the street and not being able to see past the bus when cars drive past.
Last week this concern was presented in front of the SGA General Assembly by Svirupskaite and has since then been the second bill passed by the Association.
The new location is not far from the corner of Clay Street. She says this change will be permanent unless there is problems with the location.
