Winter Weather Advisory in effect for western Illinois

MACOMB, Ill. (NEWS3) — A Winter Weather Advisory is in an effect until noon on Monday for McDonough and Hancock Counties.
Snow accumulations are expected to be between 1 to 3 inches. The snow will start to fall during the overnight hours.
Temperatures are expected to stay around the freezing mark, causing the precipitation to freeze to the ground.
Besides a drop in temperatures, wind gusts are expected to reach 30 MPH.
This could cause a slippery morning commute. Drivers might also find ice covering their vehicle in the morning.
Give yourself plenty of time in the morning to get to your destination safely.
