MACOMB, Illinois (NEWS3)- For the sake of helping Western students brave the winter cold, the Honors College is collecting winter coats, gloves, scarves, and all kinds of winter accessories beginning Nov. 14.

“We are always looking for ways to help our students here on campus, and we know that winter gets very, very cold here; anything we can do to help them this winter, we definitely want to do that for our students,” said Julie Schoonover, Honors College Program Assistant.

The drive will continue through January. Any clean, gently worn items are welcome.

Anyone interested in donating can come by Room six in Horrabin Hall and drop off items Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. or call the Honors College at 309-298-2228.

Everyone at Western is welcome to pick up items they need to stay warm, as there are no requirements to benefit from this drive.
