MACOMB, Illinois (NEWS3) – In just a couple of weeks many WIU students will cross the stage in Western Hall.
The weekend of May 12 through the 14 is Spring Commencement and about 1,500 students are eligible to participate. Commencement for graduate students is on May 12 at 5 p.m. On May 13, undergraduate students will also graduate at 9:30 a.m., from the College of Arts and Sciences, College of Business and Technology, and General Studies Degree programs ceremony will be held. Then at 1 p.m. on May 13, the College of Education and Human Services, and College of Fine Arts and Communication ceremony will be held.
Lastly on May 14 at 1 p.m., the undergraduate and graduate students at the Quad Cities Campus will cross the stage at the vibrant arena at the mark in Moline, Illinois.
Provost and Academic Vice President Monoochehr Aoghi will serve as master of ceremonies for each ceremony.
Doors will open 90 minutes before each ceremony and tickets are not required to attend, but seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Ceremony guests in Macomb should park in the Q-Lot on the east side of Western Hall.
Thirty minutes before each ceremony, WIU will provide a live stream of the commencement on the WIU youtube channel.
