WIU to host Mom’s Day events this weekend

MACOMB, Illinois (NEWS3) – Western Illinois University is celebrating Mom’s Day this weekend, April 14-16, with several events on campus and around the Macomb area.

The weekend kicks off with several events this Saturday, April 15 with an annual clearance sale at the WIU bookstore from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and free kayaking at Spring Lake for any mom and WIU student with a student ID from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mom’s Day Bingo will be held from 7-9 p.m. in the Union Grand Ballroom. 

On Sunday, April 16, Mom’s Day weekend ends with a WIU Women’s tennis game against St. Thomas at 11 am., and at 3 p.m. Forgottonia Brewing is hosting Music Bingo, along with the Macomb’s School of Magic Sculpture Park, which is available all day. The sculpture garden is located next to Citizen’s Bank and the Macomb Post Office.
