Active shooter preparedness training held at WIU

MACOMB, Illinois (NEWS3) – The Office of Public Safety held an annual Run, Hide, Shoot Active Shooter Preparedness Seminar on Feb. 22 at the Multicultural Center at Western Illinois University.

The director of the Office of Public Safety, Derek Watts, ran the seminar, which is held to teach attendees a baseline of what to do in case of an armed emergency on a college campus.

The seminar offers different scenarios and explains what OPS recommends those involved do to remain safe.
