MACOMB, Illinois – At Western Illinois University, Western Avenue will be closed Monday, Dec. 5 through Friday, Dec. 9, for construction and implementation of a water line to serve the new Center for Performing Arts building and surrounding buildings, according to a release from WIU.
Western Avenue will be closed to through traffic, however all streets to the surrounding neighborhoods, the private drive north and south of the water line tie-in and the parking lots west of Western Avenue will be accessible.
Go West will provide alternate bus routes around the impacted area. Riders are told to go to the Go West Facebook page or call dispatch at (309) 575-3333 with questions or concerns.
