Flu shot clinic available for WIU students

By AUSTIN LAGESSE, NEWS3 Reporter

A flu shot clinic is open from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. on November first and third for students.

Students will need to bring a WIU student ID card. WIU school of nursing students will be administering the vaccine.

Flu vaccinations reduce the risk of flu illness, hospitalizations, and the spread of the disease. While some may still get sick  after receiving the vaccination, many studies have shown the shot reduces the severity and spread of illness.

For more information, contact the beu health center at 309-298-1888.
