A Pirates Life for She opens at WIU

MACOMB, Illinois (NEWS3) — Western Illinois University’s theater and dance department will be presenting the play “A Pirate’s Life For She” April 6-10.

A Pirate’s Life For She is an original, sentimental comedy written by Amie Root about the “little known female swashbucklers.” 

WIU Theatre and Dance Professor D.C. Wright is directing the play with assistant director WIU Theatre and Dance teaching assistant Taylor Dahlberg.

Performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sunday at 2 p.m. in Hanline Theater. 

General admission is $15 dollars, $12 for senior citizens and students. WIU students with a student ID will receive free admission. Reservations for the show are required and can be made by calling 309-298-2900 or visiting the WIU box office in the Hainline Theatre lobby.
