The Western Illinois University School of Music will host the Lanta Horn Duo, made up of Katy Ambrose and Lauren Hunt, for a masterclass and guest artist recital from 7:30-9:30 p.m., March 9, at the COFAC Recital Hall at WIU.
“Amplifying Women’s Voices” is a program of music performed and composed by female-identifying musicians.
The concert will be both in-person and live-streamed.
The event includes:
- 1-2:30 p.m.: Masterclass with Lanta Horn Duo and WIU Horn Studio Performers (Browne Hall, 215)
- 7:30 p.m.: Guest Artist Recital, “Amplifying Women’s Voices.” Ambrose and Hunt, horns; Mayumi Matzen, piano, in the COFAC Recital Hall, and live-streamed via Facebook and YouTube.
