MPD urges safety for St. Patrick’s Day

Lieutenant Jeff Hamer released information urging the community to have sober drivers due to the approaching St. Patrick’s Day weekend. Hamer stated in a post “this St. Patrick’s Day make your own luck by designating a sober driver.”

In addition to looking for impaired drivers, the MPD said it will be stepping up on seat belt enforcement. Some tips shared with the community include keeping friends safe, buckling up, and a reminder that pedestrians are at risk as well.
