MACOMB, Illinois — The Western Illinois University Student Recreation Center will hold its first-ever “Leatherneck Games” on Monday, April 19 through Friday, April 23.

This five-day event will challenge the students with many different exercises to demonstrate their fitness versatility. Director of Campus Recreation Nick Knowles said the winners will get a shirt indicating they are the champions.

Assistant Director of Campus Recreation Brian Thomas said there has been a challenge to get women to come and compete. Thomas said he hopes this year will draw more attention to the female competitors.
