MACOMB, Ill. (NEWS3) — The community will be able to enjoy tee-time again at a local golf course after a lift of certain restrictions in Illinois’ stay-at-home order.
The Harry Mussatto Golf Course in Macomb reopened Friday, but in a different fashion than most may be used to.
The course is enforcing safety precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 by only allowing groups of two to golf at the same time.
Other changes include: 15 minutes space between tee-times, no congregating, no handshakes, maintain social distancing between players (six feet apart at all times) and no touching the pin or cup.
At this time, practice ranges, chipping greens and putting greens will remain off-limits in order to limit large gatherings of people. Carts will only be available to people who cannot walk the course due to physical restrictions. If someone falls under that category, they can fill out a COVID-19 cart rental form here to ensure a cart for their use.
To book tee-times, call 309-298-3676 or email golf@wiu.edu.
