Woman, 3 kids injured after crash in McDonough Co.

MCDONOUGH CO., Ill. (NEWS3) — A Macomb woman and three kids were taken to the hospital after a rollover crash Saturday in McDonough County.

Illinois State Police said it happened around 3:15 p.m. Saturday on County Road 1500 North near County Road 1100 East in Emmet Township, just north of Macomb.

Troopers said Charlotte Clark, 45, of Macomb was driving a 2002 Honda Accord west on County Road 1500 North when she lost control on the gravel shoulder. Clark then crossed over both lanes and drove into the ditch.

Authorities said the car then rolled over and came back onto the roadway. The driver and one of the children were ejected from the vehicle.

Clark was flown to an area hospital. The three children, a six-year-old girl and 15 and 17-year-old boys, were taken to a local hospital. Everyone suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Police said the driver and one of the passengers were not wearing seatbelts. The other two are unknown. Officials did not say the cause of the crash and charges are pending.
