MCDONOUGH CO., Ill (NEWS3) — McDonough County Health Department is reporting a third confirmed case of COVID-19.
Officials announced Monday evening a female in her 60s tested positive for coronavirus and is currently isolated at home. Staff said this case is not connected to the other cases in the county. Public health officials are investigating individuals who were in contact with the woman to reduce the risk of additional cases.
This case comes just hours after the health department released information about a second case within the county. A female in her 20s tested positive for the virus and is currently recovering at home. The woman is not reporting any significant travel. Officials are also investigating if anyone was in contact with the woman.

MCDONOUGH CO., Ill. (NEWS3) — McDonough County Health Department is reporting another confirmed case of COVID-19.
Officials announced Monday morning a female in her 20s tested positive for coronavirus and is currently isolated at home. The woman is not reporting any significant travel. Public health officials are investigating individuals who were in contact with the woman to reduce the risk of additional cases.
McDonough County Health Department announced their first case of COVID-19. During a press conference Friday, McDonough County Health Department Administrator Lynnette Cale said the man, who is in his 40s, was tested in another county and is currently recovering at home. Cale said anyone that had been exposed to the patient has been contacted. Officials have no other concerns connected to the case.
The state has 22,025 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 794 deaths across 87 counties as of Monday.
Hancock County Health Department reported its second confirmed case of the virus Sunday. Officials said the individual is in their 70s to 80s and is recovering at home. The county announced its first case of the virus Thursday.
Warren County Health Department reported its second coronavirus case Sunday. The man is between the ages of 60 to 80 and recovering at home. Officials are identifying who the man has been in contact with. The county announced its first case Friday.
Knox County is reporting three cases of COVID-19, two of which are in a local prison. According to the Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC) website, two inmates at Hill Correctional Center in Galesburg contracted the virus. The medium security adult male prison is currently on lockdown, which means there is no movement around the facility except for medical care.

MDH has launched a drive-thru screening station to test for Influenza A and B, strep and COVID-19, but patients must pre-register before showing up.
To pre-register, you must receive an order by your primary care provider or call the MDH nurse triage hotline at 309-836-1715. The hotline is open daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
MDH officials said if a person is experiencing symptoms of fever, cough or shortness of breath, they should call their primary care provider or the MDH nurse triage hotline. Patients younger than 18 will need to call their pediatrician or primary care provider. Anyone without a primary care provider, can call the MDH Family Clinic or MDH Convenience Clinic at 309-837-6937.
