Hy-Vee, Domino’s hiring workers in light of coronavirus crisis

MACOMB, Ill. (NEWS3) — Hy-Vee and Domino’s are looking for people to join their teams in the midst of COVID-19.

The pizza and grocery chain said they’re hiring multiple positions to meet the growing demands during the pandemic.

Hy-Vee is seeking temporary, part-time hourly employees in stores across its eight-state region. The job would involve restocking as well as cleaning and sanitizing.

“Those who may have temporarily lost their job due to the current pandemic, are out of school, want to make additional money, or simply want to help during this time are welcome to apply at Hy-Vee,” Public Relations Director for Hy-Vee Christina Gayman said.

Domino’s is looking for delivery drivers, pizza makers, customer service representatives, managers and assistant managers.

“While many local, state, and federal rules are closing dine-in restaurants, the opportunity to keep feeding our neighbors through delivery and carryout means that a small sense of normalcy is still available to everyone,” Domino’s chief executive officer Richard Allison said. “Our corporate and franchise stores want to make sure they’re not only feeding people, but also providing opportunity to those looking for work at this time, especially those in the heavily-impacted restaurant industry.”
