Galesburg Police arrest two for drugs, weapons

GALESBURG, Ill. (NEWS3) — Two people were arrested over the weekend in Galesburg after police found firearms and drugs in their possession.

Galesburg Police said Ben Norville, 27, was in a vehicle on the 900 block of West Carl Sandburg Drive on Saturday when police arrested him. Police found two handguns, more than two pounds of crystal methamphetamine, nearly 900 grams of cannabis and more than $7,000 in cash. Norville was arrested on weapon and drug charges. He is currently in the Knox County Jail.


Police also arrested Emily Cahill over the weekend. Galesburg Police said Cahill was found in her vehicle in the 100 block of Walnut Street. Police found Cahill in possession of a handgun, ammunition, suspected cannabis and methamphetamine and scales. Cahill was on supervised release from the Illinois Department of Corrections. She was arrested on weapon charges and is currently in the Knox County Jail.
