Officials seeking community input on next WIU president

MACOMB, Ill. (NEWS3) — Community members are invited to share their input on the selection of the next permanent president of Western Illinois University next week.

WIU Board of Trustees Chair Polly Radosh, Board Trustee Mark Twomey and Macomb Mayor Mike Inman are hosting the open house-style event from 6 – 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 26. The event will take place in the Community Room of Macomb City Hall.

“We sincerely appreciate the Board of Trustees providing this opportunity to the Macomb community,” Inman said in a press release. “WIU’s success is so vitally important to Macomb and our entire region.”

In October, the board appointed Martin Abraham to serve as WIU’s interim president through June 30, 2020.
