Macomb Fire Chief: Three pets dead in mobile home fire

MACOMB, Ill. (NEWS3) — Macomb Fire Department responded to a mobile home fire late Thursday afternoon in the 1500 block of E. Jackson St.

Fire Chief JR Hyde said firefighters responded just after 4:30 p.m to a structure fire in a mobile home park on the south side of E. Jackson St.

Hyde said no one was home at the time, but two cats and a dog died in the fire.

The fire is under investigation.
