MACOMB Ill. (NEWS3) — Macomb Police arrested a woman after finding more than 13 grams of meth and brass knuckles during a traffic stop.
Deputy Chief Dave Burnham said 55-year-old Penny Gipson from Muscatine, IA, was a passenger in a car pulled over for having a loud muffler on East Jackson St.
Burnham said during the stop, Macomb Police found meth inside the car, belonging to Gipson.
After she was arrested, Gipson told police she had meth inside her bra. Burnham said there was 13.2 grams of meth in Gipson’s undergarments.
Police later found brass knuckles inside Gipson’s purse.
Gipson was charged with unlawful use of a weapon, delivery of meth and possession of methamphetamine.
She was lodge in the McDonough County Jail. Gipson’s bond is set at $10,000.
The driver of the vehicle, 37 year-old Brandon Bielser of Keithsburg, was charged with driving with a revoked license and having no muffler.
