Police: Nurse accused of stealing pills from resident at Macomb nursing home

MACOMB, Ill. (NEWS3) — Macomb Police said they arrested a nurse at Wesley Village in Macomb on Monday for allegedly stealing pills from a resident.

Deputy Chief Dave Burnham said Jennifer Greer, 36, of Macomb, was seen on surveillance video entering a resident’s room when the resident was not present.

Burnham said the resident noticed she had fewer pills than she remembered and alerted the staff.

Police later found Greer with Tramadol that matched the resident’s prescription.

Greer was charged with three counts of residential burglary and one count of possession of a controlled substance.

She was taken to the McDonough County Jail with a $20,000 bond.
