WIU to host ‘Sleep Out for the Homeless’ event

MACOMB, Ill. (NEWS3) — The Western Illinois University Marketing Club will host an event to raise money and awareness for a local homeless shelter.

For the first time, the group plans to ‘Sleep Out for the Homeless’ on Nov. 8-9 from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. It will take place at 1545 Riverview Drive in Macomb.

The night will include games, activities, food, live music and guest speakers.

It is $25 per person and kids 10 and under are free.

All money will go to Macomb’s men’s and women’s homeless shelter, Samaritan Well Inc.
