Yesterday’s Treasures to close in December

GOOD HOPE, Ill., (NEWS3) —Yesterday’s Treasures, off of U.S Highway 67 in Good Hope, will be closing at the end of the year.

The store sells antiques such as glassware, jewelry, coins and more. Everything in the store is 20-70 percent off due to the closure.

Owner Tom Howard said he’s grateful for the community’s support.

“We’ve had loyal customers for 20 years,” Howard said. “They come back a lot of times. They come once a week, sometimes they come once a month or every other month. Its been a consistent business for over the 20 years we’ve been here.”

Howard said the building that’s housed the treasures for the last two decades will be owned by his children. However, Howard is unsure what is next for the building.

Items left over by the end of the year will be donated to charities.

Yesterday’s Treasures is open Friday through Sunday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
