MCDONOUGH COUNTY, Ill. (NEWS3) — Illinois State Police have released the name of the man killed early Friday morning in a crash in McDonough County.
ISP said Ibrahim Osman, 29, of Beardstown, was driving a 2006 Nissan Pathfinder when he drove off the west side of the road, overcorrected and overturned multiple times.
The crash happened on US-67, about half a mile north of 350 North just after midnight on Friday.
Police said Osman was thrown from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The McDonough County coroner is asking for the public’s help contacting Osman’s family. If you know how to contact the family, call the coroner’s office at 309-833-2323.
According to the police report, Lynette Shea, 32, of Beardstown, was a passenger in the vehicle. Police did not mention her condition.
ISP said no seat belts were worn and charges are pending.
