Man stabbed Sunday morning in Plymouth

PLYMOUTH, Ill. (NEWS3) — Hancock County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a report of a stabbing in Plymouth early Sunday morning.

According to Sheriff Scott Bentzinger, the 33-year-old male victim was stabbed several times on North Lexington Street. He was treated and released after being transported to Blessing Hospital by Air Evac.

Deputies attempted to interview multiple intoxicated individuals, but the witnesses gave limited information.

The incident is under investigation. Witnesses of the altercation are encouraged to call the sheriff’s office at 217-357-2115.
