National Weather Service issues ‘freeze watch’

QUAD CITIES, IA/IL (NEWS3) — The National Weather Service in Quad Cities has issued a freeze watch for the weekend.

The statement said temperatures will reach lower 30s with potential to dip into the upper 20s beginning Friday evening and going through early Saturday morning.

The NWS said the low temperatures could kill crops and possibly damage outdoor plumbing. They advised residents to monitor forecasts for updates.
