Abraham named interim president

MACOMB, Ill. (NEWS3) — Acting WIU President Martin Abraham was unanimously appointed to interim president at today’s board of trustees meeting

According to a WIU press release, the position’s salary is $294,000 annually and is effective immediately through June 30, 2020. The board will continue discussing next steps on finding a permanent president.

Abraham was originally hired as WIU’s provost and began serving as acting president in July. Billy Clow will continue his role as interim provost.
