MACOMB, Ill. (NEWS3) – Gov. JB Pritzker has appointed two new members to the Western Illinois University Board of Trustees.
WIU alumni Carin Stutz, Chicago, and Patrick Twomey, Macomb, are the new members joining trustees Greg Aguilar, Erik Dolieslager, Kisha Land, Polly Radosh, Doug Shaw and student trustee Justin Brown.
According to a WIU press release, Stutz is a 1978 home economics graduate and the former CEO and executive vice president for Red Robin Gourmet Burgers Inc. Additionally, she has held several executive roles at large companies such as McAlister’s Corp., Brinker International and Wendy’s International.
The release states she was the past board chair and member of the board of directors of the Women’s Foodservice Forum and received her master’s degree in business administration from Mid America Nazarene University.
Twomey received his bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, education specialist degree and educational doctorate from WIU. He served as the superintendent of schools for Macomb Community Unit District #195 and Havana School District #126.
In addition, he was the principal and assistant principle at Macomb High School and assistant principal at Ingersoll Middle School in Canton, Ill. Twomey currently serves on the COEHS Advisory Board.
