WIU volleyball heads to Toledo for the weekend

TOLEDO, Oh. (NEWS3)—The Western Illinois Volleyball team is getting on the bus once again this weekend, this time to head to Toledo, Ohio for the Wright State Invitational. The team will be looking to add three wins to their 3-4 record.

WIU senior JoJo Kruize is looking to add to her already 90 kills this year while freshman setter Jessie Connell is averaging six assists per set.

WIU’s first game of the tournament is Friday at 4 p.m. against the Toledo Rockets (4-2). The game will be aired on ESPN3.

The Leathernecks play two games on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. against the 5-1 host Wright State Raiders (5-1) with the second game against Indiana State (0-6) at 4:30 p.m. Saturday’s second game for WIU will air on ESPN3.
