MACOMB, Ill. (NEWS3) – Macomb area organizations and volunteers will be placing hundreds of flags in Chandler Park on Labor Day to honor deceased military veterans.
Members from the Macomb Area Chamber of Commerce and Lions Club need your help placing the flags around the park on Monday.
Volunteers are asked to be at the park shortly before 7 a.m to help set up the flags.
Flags will fly in the park throughout the day.
Volunteers are needed to remove the flags starting at 5 p.m.
A red ribbon will be placed on a pole in the southeast corner of the park if inclement weather causes a cancellation.
