BETTENDORF, Iowa (NEWS3) – Firefighters in Bettendorf battled a structure fire on Wednesday while in over 4 feet of water.
At 1:20 a.m., firefighters responded to a fire at 24789 179th Street Place. The only access to the home was via boat.
A detached garage was found fully engulfed in flames and was threatening a nearby home.
The firefighters protected the home before extinguishing the garage fire.
There were no injuries.
