ALEDO, Illinois (NEWS3) – One man was arrested in Mercer County Thursday on charges of sexually assaulting a child.
In a release from the Illinois State Police, 60-year-old Mark Artcher was arrested and charged two counts of Predatory Criminal
Sexual Assault of a Child.
Artcher was arrested at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Thursday at a local area hospital where he was being treated.
Upon being released from the hospital, he will be secured at the Mercer County Jail.
Additional charges are anticipated upon review by the Mercer County State’s Attorney, ISP said.
