WESTERN ILLINOIS (NEWS3) – Several road construction projects are slated to begin around western Illinois.
Pavement patching on Illinois 41 near Avon will begin on Monday, April 15.
The project will require daytime lane closures between Avon and Illinois 9. Traffic will be controlled by flaggers.
Work is expected to be completed by June 15.
In Macomb, road work will begin on the north section of Western Avenue and University Drive.
The work will be near Waggoner and Brophy Halls at Western Illinois University.
The work is only expected to last two weeks.
