Search warrant in Macomb leads to massive police presence; drugs, firearm found

MACOMB, Illinois (NEWS3) — Drugs and a firearm were found inside a Macomb home during a massive police presence on Tuesday.

According to the Macomb Police Department, a search warrant was conducted at 334 N. Charles St. as a result of a week long investigation into the illegal sale of cannabis.

Cannabis, drug paraphernalia and a loaded firearm were found inside the home.

Other individuals were detained pending criminal charges for manufacturing/ delivery of cannabis and illegal possession of a firearm.

Police in SWAT gear and a helicopter were also on scene.
