Large police presence shuts down Charles Street in Macomb

MACOMB, Illinois (NEWS) — Police shut down a portion of Charles Street in Macomb after a search warrant was served.

According to the Macomb Police Department, drugs and a loaded fire were found.

Following the search warrant, a large police presence remained on Charles Street. The road was shut down between Adams and Calhoun Streets.

A helicopter was also seen flying over the area and police in SWAT gear were on scene.

As of midnight, the scene was clearing.
