One injured after crash in Good Hope

GOOD HOPE, Illinois (NEWS3) – One person was injured following a car accident in Good Hope Wednesday afternoon.

The accident occurred at the intersection of U.S. 67 and Illinois 9.

A 1998 GMC Sierra, driven by Lauren Thompson, 23, of Bushnell, failed to yield when turning left into oncoming traffic when the light turned green.

A 2019 Ford F-250, driven by Hurley Cross, 68, of Vermont, Illinois, collided with Thompson.

Thompson was transported via ambulance to the hospital with minor injuries and was cited for failure to yield right of way at an intersection.
