Trains to and from Chicago cancelled Wednesday

CHICAGO (NEWS3) – Due to extreme cold and dangerous wind chills, all trains to and from Chicago have been cancelled for Wednesday.

Cancelled trains include short-distance corridor trains and long-distance overnight trains.

Short-distance corridor trains have also been cancelled for Thursday and most long-distance overnight trains are not expected to or from Chicago on Thursday.

Trains that set out on Tuesday, Jan. 29, will complete their route to and from Chicago.

The train cancellations to affect the Macomb depot include the 380 Illinois Zephyr and 382 Carl Sandburg, both from Quincy to Chicago, and the 381 Carl Sandburg and 383 Illinois Zephyr, both from Chicago to Quincy.
