MACOMB, Illinois (NEWS3) — Water main repairs in Macomb will begin at 8 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 17.
The repairs will take place on Maple Ave. south of Macomb Jr./Sr. High School.
Minor traffic inconveniences are expected at the intersection of Maple Ave. and Harmony Ln.
Majority of the construction will remain on the east side of the street.
“Residents south of 1220 Maple Ave., Harmony Lane, James Dr., Pam Lane, Evergreen Dr., Pinecrest Dr., Scotch Pine Dr., Oakmont Ct., N. 1050th Rd and S. Madison within these subdivisions will be without water beginning at 8:00 am Tuesday,” according to a release from Macomb Public Works.
Meager service is expected to be restored Tuesday afternoon; however, residents will remain under a boil order until further notice.
