Sandy Hook Elementary School evacuated, dismissed after bomb threat on shooting anniversary

NEWTOWN, Connecticut (NEWS3) — Sandy Hook Elementary School was evacuated and dismissed early after a bomb threat Friday.

The threat comes on the sixth anniversary of the shooting that killed 20 first-graders and six educators.

Police say they do not believe the threat is credible, but it is not related to a rash of bomber threats across the country on Thursday as this was specific to Sandy Hook.
