USPS to close post offices Wednesday for National Day of Mourning of Pres. G. H. W. Bush

All United States Postal Service (USPS) retail locations will close Wednesday, Dec. 5 for the National Day of Mourning of former Pres. George H. W. Bush.

According to the USPS, services will be affecting in the following ways:

  • All post offices will be closed.
  • Regular mail will not be delivered
  • Package delivery will be limited

The 41st President of the United States died at age 94 on Friday, Nov. 30.

Pres. George H. W. Bush will lie in state at the U.S. Capitol until the state funeral on Wednesday at the National Cathedral.
