Two tornadoes confirmed in McDonough County Saturday

McDONOUGH COUNTY, Illinois (NEWS3) – Two confirmed tornadoes touched down in McDonough County during Saturday’s rash of severe storms, according to the National Weather Service.

The first , an EF-0 tornado, touched down three  miles southwest of Industry. It touched down at 3:18 p.m. and lasted one minute, traveling 0.1 miles. Estimated peak winds were 70 m.p.h.

The second tornado, also an EF-0, touched down two miles southwest of Bardolph. It touched down at 3:41 p.m. and lasted one minute, traveling 0.1 miles. Estimated peak winds were 70 m.p.h.

Both tornadoes touched down in a field and no damage by either tornado was reported.
