Body of Macomb man missing after blizzard found

MACOMB, Illinois (NEWS3) — The body of a Macomb man missing following Sunday’s blizzard has been found.

Macomb Police say the body of 73-year-old John Schauble has been located.

Authorities say Schauble was travelling from Canton to Macomb during the blizzard.

Schauble suffered from health-related issues; however, it is unclear how he died.

The incident is being investigated by the McDonough County Sherriff’s Office and a press release is expected from Sheriff Nicholas Petitgout.
