Tanner Hall to be taken offline in fall 2019

Tanner Hall, a freshman dorm in Western Illinois University’s “North Quad,” will be taken offline starting fall 2019.

In an email sent to Resident Assistants, Director of Resident Life at University Housing and Dining Services Dr. Mishelle Oaks confirmed the decision.

The email also states that empty floors will be consolidated to accommodate students.

Tanner Hall will then “go under a review and some estimates and re-evaluation will be done.”

Wetzel Hall, Tanner Hall’s twin building, was demolished in 2012 and Higgins Hall near Thompson Hall was demolished in 2017.
