The fire alarm at Thompson Hall was set off Tuesday morning by workers at the building.
At 10:19 a.m., the Western Illinois University Office of Public Safety and the Macomb Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at the hall.
Upon arriving on scene, officials found that the fire alarm was set off by workers using a saw.
No smoke or fire was found at the scene and no injuries were reported.
