niversity Technology (uTech) recently announced that changes will be taking place to the University’s “Central Sign-On Authentication” server software. According to their press release, the change will take place on Thursday, April 13, 2017. The system is used by all WIU employees, students and alumni to log in to resources such as email/calendaring, WesternOnline & Purple Post.
Part of the upgrade is the appearance of the sign-on pages. It will be take on a new look after April 13, 2017. uTech would like to remind everyone to verify that the address bar starts with https://auth.wiu.edu/before entering your password in order to protect yourself against illegitimate phishing websites.
