The McDonough County Sheriff says one person is in custody following a threat of a mass shooting in the county.
UPDATED: According to the McDonough County Sheriff’s Office, Kevin C. Corridon, 26, of Macomb, was arrested at 10:40 a.m at his house on Wednesday. The arrest took place without incident and no weapons were found within the residence.
The F.B.I. contacted the Sheriff’s Office and local police early on Wednesday, March 29 about a threat for the same day. The Sheriff’s Office says precautions were taken throughout the county as the F.B.I. investigated the threat.
A person was later taken into custody by the F.B.I. and Macomb police around 10:40 a.m. on Wednesday. The Sheriff’s Office reports the person arrested is believed to be responsible for the threat.
