WIU Students Set to Graduate This Weekend

westernThe Western Illinois University graduating class of Fall 2016 will walk across the stage and receive their diplomas this weekend.

There will be two ceremonies on Saturday, Dec. 17. The first is a combined graduate/undergraduate commencement ceremony for the College of Arts & Science, College of Business & Technology and General Studies and Interdisciplinary Studies degree programs. This ceremony will take place in Western Hall, at 9:30 a.m.

The second ceremony takes place at 1:00 p.m. in Western Hall. Students in the College of Education & Human Services and College of Fine Arts & Communication will participate in this event.

Unlike high school there will be no rehearsals beforehand. Seating is first come first serve and no tickets are required. Those with disabilities or special requirements may contact the Office Of Equal Opportunity and Access at 309 298-1977.

Q lot is the preferred parking area for those attending the ceremony.

Graduates should expect their diplomas in the mail no less than 6 weeks after commencement.
