Downtown Development Director, Kristin Terry, has a lot to show over her past year in the position. Both the mayor and city officials say they are pleased with everything Terry has done.
Mayor Mike Inman says, “She’s not only dusted off and touched up some paint on existing programs we have, but also brought new ideas to the city. She has laid those out in pretty good detail and also has new ideas for the future and bring events here.”
Since Terry took office Terry reports she has brought more than a 1,000 likes to the Downtown’s Facebook page. She says her goals for 2017 are to work with WIU’s Discover Western Days, add more sculptures to the downtown, and work with other city employees to make downtown accommodating during reconstruction this summer.
